Moon Festival at New Shanghai
We’re celebrating China’s second biggest festival at New Shanghai
The Mid-Autumn Festival (Moon Festival) is China’s second grandest festival after Chinese New Year.
Falling on the 15th day of the 8th month in the Chinese lunar calendar, or Friday 13th September to us, the Moon Festival is a celebration of harvest at the time of the full moon, and where traditional moon cakes are often eaten.
From 1st August until 13th September, we’ll have a moon cake menu available at New Shanghai restaurants (except Charlestown Square and The Myer Centre).
Head over to our Ashfield Workshop to try our truffle and pork moon cake, which will be available exclusively there.

It’s fully accessible, with loads of parking and an adjoining children’s playground so it’s a great day out for the whole gang.
An indoor, outdoor venue where you can wander and ponder, meet the makers, browse beautiful products, enjoy the sound of live music, grab a coffee or treat yourself to some yummy food.
A place where you can relax and unwind in the enchanting leafy surrounds, where you can find everything from jewellery, bags, clothes, homewares, plants, locally made condiments and honey and everything in-between.
